1 cup butter or marg.
1 cup sugar
6 oz. cream cheese
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups flour
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 cup oatmeal
1/2 cup finely chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix butter, sugar, cream cheese and vanilla. Sift the flour, baking powder and salt together. Stir the oatmeal and nuts into the flour mixture and then add this to the butter/cheese mixture. Refrigerate for several hours. Roll out to 1/3" thick on a floured surface and cut with cookie cutters. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until slightly browned on the edges. Frost and decorate as you wish when cool..
