1 cup softened butter or margarine
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon salt
3 cups rolled oats
1 6 ounce package chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Beat butter and sugar together until creamy. Blend in eggs and vanilla. Sift together flour, soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture, beating well. Stir in oats, chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by teaspoonsful onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in preheated 375º oven for 10-12 minutes.
