1 1/4 cups margarine, softened
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
2 tsp. vanilla
1 3/4 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt (optional)
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg (optional)
3 cups oatmeal
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup raisins or Craisins, (may want to chop some)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375. Beat margarine and sugar; add egg and vanilla. Combine flour, soda, salt, and spices; add to margarine mixture. Stir in oatmeal, nuts, raisins/Craisins. Drop rounded teaspoon of dough on ungreased baking sheet, or parchment paper. For chewy cookies bake 8 to 9 minutes or for crisp cookies bake 10 to 11 minutes.
