1/2 c. butter (real butter)
2 beaten eggs
1 c. powdered sugar
1/2 lb. vanilla wafers, crushed
2 c. heavy cream, whipped
1 t. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Combine butter, eggs and powdered sugar and cook in double boiler (or heavy pan) until thick, 6 to 8 minutes. Add vanilla.

Put 1/2 of wafers in bottom of square pan, add half of cream (whipped). Then add all of filling, then top with rest of whipped cream. Top with rest of wafers. Freeze for 3 to 4 hours. Best served after removing from freezer for at least 1/2 hour to allow flavors to develop.
