"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain
This recipe for MARSHMALLOW POPCORN BALLS, by Corey Johnson, is from The Standley Family Cookbook,
one of the cookbooks created at FamilyCookbookProject.com. We help
families or individuals create heirloom cookbook treasures.
6 Tbsp. butter 3 c. mini marshmallows 3 Tbsp. raspberry jello 3 quarts unsalted popcorn
Melt butter. Add marshmallows and stir until melted. Blend in jello. Pour over popcorn and mix well with buttered hands to form balls.
This is something Grandma Standley (Teresa) and I would make together when I was little. It was a contribution to the school cookbook (Stafford Primary in West Linn). She helped me hand write and draw a picture for the cookbook. I was 6 years old at the time - 27 years ago - WOW!
