1 cup cooking oil
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
3 cups flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
3 cups diced apples (York or Winesap)
1 cup chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla
GLAZE:
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/2 stick butter or margarine
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix ingredients in the order listed above. It will be hard to mix and makes an extremely stiff batter. Pour into a greased and floured tube pan. Bake in 350º oven for 1 hour. After removing from oven, immediately pour glaze over the cake and let it sit in the pan for 2 hours.
Glaze: Mix first three ingredients together and cook for 3 minutes. Add vanilla and pour hot sauce over hot cake.
