2 pkg. dry yeast
1-1/4 c. warm water
1/4 c. sugar
1-1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg, unbeaten
3 c. flour, sifted
2 tbsp. shortening, melted and cooled to lukewarm

Note: Batter will be runny, so don't try to shape into rolls.

Dissolve yeast in warm water in large mixing bowl. Add sugar, salt and egg. Gradually add flour. Beat on medium speed. Add shortening, beating until thoroughly mixed. Spoon batter into well-greased muffin tins, filling 1/3rd full.

Let rise in warm place until batter rises to top of muffin tin (25 to 30 minutes). Bake at 375º for approximately 20 minutes.
