4 cups peeled sliced apples (green or mountain red).
2 cups sugar.
1 cup Wesson oil
3 cups sifted flour.
2 tsp baking soda.
1 tsp salt.
2 eggs.
1/2 tsp Allspice.
1/2 tsp Cinnamon.
1 tsp Vanilla.
1 cup chopped walnuts.
1 cup chopped dates or raisins.

Mix first 3 ingredients together and let stand for 1 hour. Add and mix next 7 ingredients. Fold in 1 cup chopped walnuts and 1 cup chopped dates or raisins. Pour into greased and floured tube pan and bake @ 325 for 1 1/2 hours.
Let cool in pan for 20 minutes before removing.
