1 pkg. (6oz.) semisweet chocolate pieces
1/2 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. light corn syrup
1/3 c. bourbon
1 pkg. (7-1/4 oz.) vanilla wafers (finely crushed)
1 cup walnuts (finely chopped) (or pistachios if you prefer)
Confectioners sugar for rolling

Directions:

Melt chocolate in double boiler pan over hot water. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, syrup and bourbon. In a mixing bowl, combine wafer crumbs and walnuts. Stir in chocolate mixture, blend well and immediately shape into 1" balls and roll in confectioners sugar. Store in an airtight container at least 1 week before serving.

This was another favorite of Mom's at Christmas. Pretty potent so you might want to steer kids away from them. Paul still remembers coming over as a teenager and stealing a few Bourbon Balls thinking he might get a buzz off of them.
