1/2 cup butter 1/2 cup shortening 1 cup sugar 1 tsp vanilla extract 2 eggs 1 tsp salt 1/2 cup walnuts 2 cups flour 1 can Cherry Pie filling
Mix all ingredients except cherry pie filling. Spread 3/4 of the batter into a greased bar pan. Spread the cherry filling on top and dot with remaining batter. Bake at 350º for 20-30 minutes. You may drizzle with powdered sugar glaze if you desire.
