2 cups semolina
1 cup s.r flour
3/4 cup dessicated coconut
1/2 cup caster sugar
1 tsp baking powder
125 g melted butter
1/2 cup oil
1 cup milk
Almonds for decoration
SYRUP
2 1/2 cups sugar
3 cups water
vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Grease 20 x 30cm ovenpan.
Mix all dry ingredients , add melted butter and oil, mix well then add milk, mix all together [ it will look like wet crumbs], spread into pan, cut to squares, put an almond in the middle of each square. Bake in oven at 200 c for 30 - 45 minutes or un til brown, pour hot syrup over semolina, cut the squares again to absorb all the syrup, stand for 20 minutes.
SYRUP
Combine water, sugar in a saucepan stir over heat until sugar is dissolved. Bring to boil for 2 minutes then add the vanilla and it is ready.
