1 egg yolk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. butter
1 c. powdered sugar
5 tbsp. sugar
1 2/3 c. flour
whole almonds
red food coloring
1 egg white
Directions:
Directions:
Beat together egg, egg yolk, and vanilla. In separate bowl cream together butter and powdered sugar. Add sugar and mix well. Add egg mixture and mix well. Add flour and mix until all is combined. Shape dough to look like a finger. The more crooked the better. Place on cookie sheet. Cut the almonds in half (can use whole almonds); you will need one for each "finger". Paint the almonds with red food coloring and press into the tip of each finger to look like a finger nail. Brush each cookie with egg white and bake at 325° for 12 minutes.
