3 cups (8 oz.)ziti, uncooked
3 3/4 lb. ground beef or sausage
3 cups (about 28 oz. jar) spaghetti sauce
1 3/4 cup ricotta cheese (15 oz.)
2 cups (8 oz.) shredded mozarella cheese, divided
1 tsp. dried basil leaaves
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. black pepper
grated Parmesan cheese

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Cook pasta for 8 minutes and drain. In a large skillet over medium heat brown meat and drain. Sir in spagetti sauce and simmer 10 minutes. In a bowl combine ricotta, 1 cup of mozarella and seasonigs and set aside. Toss hot pasta with meat sauce, In a 9 by 13 pan, spoon half the pasta mix; spread cheese mix over top. Layer on the remaining pasta, sprinkle with remainder of mozarella and parmesan. Bake covered, loosely with foil for 25 minutes and uncover the last 5 minutes.
