3 Tbsp sugar
3 Tbsp vinegar
pinch of salt
Bowl full of fresh garden lettuce

Make the dressing in a separate bowl and pour over the lettuce. Serve with schmora.

When we were growing up on the farm and we had a big garden, this was always served with schmora. It was also served with the first (springer) fried chicken. If you don't have a garden I found the best lettuce to get at the grocery store is a green leaf lettuce .
