2 c. vegetable oil
1/4 c. cider vinegar
1/3 c. lemon juice
1/3 c. fresh parsley, chopped
2-3 cloves garlic, chopped
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 c. Romano cheese, freshly grated
3 heads iceberg lettuce, torn

Directions:
Directions:
Combine first 7 ingredients in a lg. jar. Cover tightly, and shake vigorously until blended; stir in cheese. Toss dressing as needed with lettuce; store the remaining dressing in refrigerator. I have also added toasted sesame seeds to the top before serving.

Sarah Beth is the daughter of the late Bill & Nelwyn (Greene) Hollenshead & the granddaughter of the late Chester "Jake" & Velma (Beavers) Hollenshead. You see this salad at several restaurants in South Louisiana. I found this recipe long ago in a Southern Living magazine and have used it often.
