2 3/4 cups flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1 cup Blue Label Karo syrup
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 T. lemon juice
1 tsp. grated lemon rind
1 egg, slightly beaten

Mix all ingredients. Pour into a well greased and floured 11x15 pan. Moisten hands and flatten dough into pan to 1/8 to 1/4 in. thick. (OK to moisten hands several times). Bake 375 for 12-15 minutes. While warm, spread thin icing over the top and cut into squares. After cooled, store in a tightly covered container to mellow.
