1 1/2- cups sugar,
1- cup Crisco (or butter)
2- eggs,
1-tsp. vanilla,
1- tsp. baking powder,
1/4- tsp. soda,
1/3- cup buttermilk,
all purpose flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and shortening; add eggs and vanilla; mix well. Stir baking powder and soda in 1 cup flour. Add alternately with buttermilk; beat well. Then put in bowl and gradually work in enough flour to roll. Cut and bake in a 375šoven until lightly browned.
