For Torte
2 beaten egg yolks
2 1/2 tbsp.. sugar
2/3 c. milk
Dash salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp.. gelatin
1/4 cup cold water
2 beaten egg whites
2 1/2 tbsp. sugar

For graham cracker crust
1 1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup softened butter
1 tbsp. water

For topping
1/2 cup coarsely chopped semisweet chocolate
1 cup heavy cream
Beat egg yolks and sugar; add milk and salt. Cook in double boiler until thick, stirring. Add vanilla and gelatin softened in water. Chill until partially set.

Fold in egg whites, beaten with remaining sugar.

Mix 1 1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs with 1/4 cup sugar; cut in 1/4 cup (1/8 lb.) softened butter. Add 1 Tbs. water. Press into 8" cake pan. Bake in moderate oven (325°) about 10 min. Cool.

Add filling to crust. Spread with whipped cream. Sprinkle additional chocolate chips on top.
