36 Oreo Cookies
1/2 cup of butter, melted
1/2 gallon of vanilla ice cream, softened
3 semi-sweet chocolate squares
1/4 tsp. salt
1 five-ounce can of evaporated milk
1 cup of sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 large container of Cool Whip

Directions:

Crush cookies and mix with melted butter. "Pat" into a 9" x 13" pan and freeze until firm.

Spread the softened vanilla ice cream over the crust until firm - freeze.

Mix chocolate, milk, sugar, salt, and vanilla in the top of a double boiler and cook (about 15-20 min.) until thickened.

Cool thoroughly. Spread over ice cream and freeze until firm.

Top with Cool Whip and freeze until firm.

Serves - Six to eight
