Ingredients:  
2 lb stewing beef, browned with oil
Cover meat with water in dutch oven

Add:
1 can beef stock
1 tsp. garlic powder
2 fried cooking onions
Let simmer 2 hours on low

Add:
1 cup cut carrots
3 cups potatoes, chopped
1/2 cup string beans, chopped
1/2 cup frozen corn
add salt and pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Gently boil until potatoes and carrots are tender.

Thickening Broth:
Add 3 T. flour to 2/3 cups of water and shake in jar with lid. Stir slowly into broth to thicken.
