2/3 cup margarine
2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
2 T. hot water
2 2/3 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
milk chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º

Mix margarine and brown sugar until smooth. Add eggs and hot water after mixing together. Add flour, powder, soda, and salt; mix well. Add the chocolate chips.

Drop cookies by teaspoonful (but make sure to tap with the side of spatula before baking).

Bake for approximately 15 minutes. Watch them carefully; take them out as soon as they are light brown. They will look very soft and uncooked, but will finish cooking on the rack.
