1 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 cup molasses
4 cups sifted flour
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/4 cup cold water

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together shortening and sugar. Add eggs and molasses, stir together.
Sift together flour, baking soda, salt, ginger, and cinnamon. Add sifted ingredients to creamed mixture, alternately with water.
Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheet and bake for approximately 10 minutes at 375º.
