1 c. warm water
dissolve 4 t. yeast in this water
2 c. warm water
2 c. warm milk
2 T. shortening, softened in the 2 c. water
1/4 c. sugar
1 T. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix warm water with shortening, warm milk, sugar, and salt. Stir in dissolve yeast mixture. Add 6 c. flour mix well then add 6 more cups. Knead, if still sticky add more until you can knead well. Let raise to double, punch down, raise again, punch down, put in 4 bread pans (each loaf will weigh about 1.5 lbs. each). Let raise then bake 350º for 35-45 minutes or golden brown. Butter loaf tops.
