6 eggs
1 cup shortening (not Oleo, I prefer Crisco)
2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
pinch of salt
2 teaspoons vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Add vanilla and flour gradually.
Pour into a well greased and floured tube pan. Bake about 1 hour or until toothpick comes out clean.
