1 pac yeast
3/4c. warm butter milk
1 tsp. sugar
2 1/2c. flour
1/4c. warm water
1/4 tsp. baking soda
3 tbl. shortening
1 tsp. salt
1 egg

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve the yeast into the warm water in a bowl. Then add the buttermilk, baking soda, sugar, salt, egg, shortening, and 1 1/2c. flour and stir. Add the remaining flour and knead until smooth on a floured board. You can make into rolls or put in a bread pan. Let it rise for 1 hour. Afterwards, bake in the oven at 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes.

To make into yummy cinnamon rolls, add 2 tbl. butter, 1/2c. sugar, 2 tsp. cinnamon to the bread mixture before baking at the same temp but for 25-30 minutes.
