BASE:
2 cups sugar
1 cup shortening
4 eggs
1 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp cocoa
3 tsp vanilla
2 1/4 tsp baking powder


MIDDLE:
8 oz mini marshmallows


ICING:
1 1/2 sticks margarine
5 T milk
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup cocoa
1 lb powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
BASE: beat sugar, eggs, cocoa, baking powder, shortening, flour and vanilla together and spread in an ungreased 9X13 pan. Bake at 350º for 35 minutes.

ICING: 5 minutes before the base is done baking, melt margarine over low heat and beat in milk, vanilla, cocoa and powdered sugar. Spread marshmallows over base immediately after removing from oven. Pour hot icing over the marshmallows.
