1 tsp. baking soda
1 cup persimmon pulp
2 cup sifted flour
1/2 tsp. each of: cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg & salt
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 egg beaten
1 cup chopped nuts
1 cup raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve baking soda in pulp; set aside. Sift flour, spices & salt. Cream shortening & sugar until fluffy. Beat in egg. When creamy, stir dry ingredients & persimmon mix into shortening & sugar. Mix well. Stir in nuts & raisins. Drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 10 to 12 minutes. Cook & enjoy!
