"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain

Directions:
Combine the oil, white wine / water and white sugar. Boil ingredients hard on the stove. Remove from heat, let cool. On a board place 4 - 5 c. flour mixed with 1 tsp salt. Make a well in the middle, add warm oil mixture. Mix with hands, then add the egg and work in to the dough. Continue this until all the liquid is gone, adding more flour if needed. The dough should be soft at this point. Take a small amount of dough, work in to a small amount of oil, forming it in to 2 inch pieces. Deep fry for about 20 minutes on medium. Roll the cookies in to melted honey after cooking.
