2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
3 large eggs
1 cup granulated sugar
1 stick butter
1 tsp. anise oil
2 1/2 tsp. anise seeds
1/2 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
Cream the butter and sugar, add eggs, anise oil and anise seeds. Add flour, baking powder and salt and mix until smooth. Turn dough out onto prepared cookie sheet. Shape into about a 16 inch log and flatten to about 1 inch thickness. Bake at 350º for about 30 minutes (until brown and firm to touch). Remove from oven and cool slightly. Cut diagonally into 1/2 inch slices, and place back on the cookie sheet on the cut sides. Bake 10 more minutes, remove and turn on the other side and bake 10 more minutes. Remove and place on wire rack to cool. Should be crispy.
