1 onion finely chopped, 2 cans water chestnuts (drained), 5 cans green beans (drained), 1 stick of butter, 1 tbsp flour, 1 c. milk, 1 tbsp butter, grated cheddar cheese, salt and pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Saute onion and water chestnuts in stick of butter. In a separate saucepan, bring 1 tbsp butter, milk, and flour to a boil while stirring with a whisk constantly until sauce thickens. In a large bowl mix beans, onion mixture, white sauce and 3/4 cup of cheese. Spread into casserole dish and cover with tin foil. Bake for 30 minutes at 325º. Take out and cover with a layer of grated cheese and put back in the oven until cheese has completely melted.
