2 lbs ground beef, salt and pepper, 1 onion chopped, 1 clove garlic minced, 1 bay leaf, 1/4 tsp. basil leaves, 1 15 oz can tomato sauce, 1 15 oz can whole tomatoes, 1 tbsp. sugar, 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. oregano, 1 lb creamed cottage cheese, 3 eggs, 2 lbs Monterey jack or Mozzarella cheese (grated or sliced thin), lasagna noodles, grated Parmesan cheese

Directions:

Brown ground beef, onion, and salt and pepper (about 2 tsp salt). Add minced garlic, bay leaf, basil leaves, tomato sauce, tomatoes, sugar, and oregano.

In a separate bowl, combine cottage cheese, eggs, and salt and pepper to taste.

Grease a 9"x12" casserole dish.

Cook lasagna noodles.

Layer the casserole dish:
1-noodles (about 3 wide noodles per layer)
2-meat sauce
3-cottage cheese mixture
4-sliced cheese

Repeat layers till dish is full. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
