3 c. flour
2c. sugar
1/3 c. cocoa
1t. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
3/4 c. oil
2 cups water
2 Tlb. vinegar, to be added last
Combine all dry ingredients in mixing bowl; make a well in the dry ingredients and add the oil,water and vinegar-in that order. Mix with a fork until well blended. Pour into two two eight inch pans, 9x13 or 24 muffin cups. Bake at 350 degrees. Check with a toothpick.

Coconut Pecan Frosting
1 c. evaporated milk
1 c. sugar
3 egg yolks
1/4 lb. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flaked coconut
1 c. chopped pecans

Combine milk, sugar,egg yolks, margarine and vanilla. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened, about twelve minutes. Add coconut and pecans. Beat with spoon until thick enough to spread.
