1 c. unsalted butter (softened), 1 c. granulated sugar, 1 c. brown sugar, 2 eggs, 2 1/2 c. oatmeal (powdered in a food processor), 1/2 tsp. baking salt, 1 tsp. baking powder, 1 tsp. baking soda, 1 tsp. vanilla, 2 c. flour, 12 oz. chocolate chips, 1 8 oz. Hershey bar finely grated, 1 1/2 c nuts finely chopped

Preheat over to 400º. Cream butter and sugars. Blend in eggs. Add powdered oatmeal and mix. Sift together salt, baking powder, baking soda, vanilla and flour. Add in batches to creamed ingredients. Batter will be very stiff- you might need to use your hands. Mix in chips, grated chocolate and nuts.

Place golf-ball size pieces of dough 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Do not mash flat. Bake 8 minutes. Do not overbake. Cookies will not look done, but overbaking ruins them. This is a soft cookie.
