4 large yams 1/3 cup butter 1/2 cup Brown sugar 1 tsp. Salt 1/2 tsp. Cinnamon 1/4 tsp.Nutmeg 1/2 cup Pecans or Walnuts
Remove skins from 4 boiled yams and cut into pieces. Melt about 1/3 cup butter and add brown sugar, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg to skillet. Add nuts. Once melted, add potatoes to sugar mixture and simmer covered, turning occasionally for approximately 15 minutes.
