1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. mashed bananas
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tbsp. cinnamon
2 tbsp. vanilla
1/3 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
1/3 c. hot water
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325º. Melt butter. Blend in sugar. Add beaten eggs and mashed bananas, blending until smooth. Sift flour, salt and soda. Add dry ingredients alternately with hot water. Stir in nuts. Grease pan and pour into a bread pan. Bake for 1 hour or until straw comes out of dough clean. Cool in pan for 5 minutes. Remove from pan. Best served warm. Topped with butter.
