3 sticks of butter, melted
1/2 c. molasses
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
4 c. flour
4 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cloves

Mix butter and molasses well with whisk and then add sugar and eggs. Whisk well and then add rest of ingredients. Stir well with wooden spoon. Cover and refrigerate for several hours. Roll into small balls and coat in sugar. Lay on a cookie sheet that has been lightly sprayed with vegetable spray. Do not flatten, they will rise and flatten by themselves. Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. Remove to cooling rack.
