1 gallon cider
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp whole allspice
2 tsp whole cloves
6" stick of cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Combine cider, sugar and salt. Tie allspice, cloves and cinnamon in piece of cheesecloth. Add to cider. Slowly bring to boil. Simmer covered for 20 minutes. Remove spices. Serve hot. Float clove-studded orange slices on top, if desired. Makes one gallon.
