Put rump roast in dark fry pan on rack in oven at 325 degrees uncovered when you leave for church. When you return, cook potatoes. Take roast from oven - it will be VERY well done. Pour potato water in pan and thicken with flour and water paste, scraping all drippings from pan for brown gravy. Note: Church only lasted about 1 1/2 hours in those days.
