2 ½ c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. salt

¾ c. butter
¾ c. sugar
2 tbsp. milk
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla

1 c. oats

Directions:
Directions:
Sift dry ingredients together. Cream butter and sugar together. Add egg, milk, and vanilla, then the dry ingredients. Mix in the oats. Roll to ¼ inch. Cut out desired shapes. Bake at 375º for 15 minutes.

Cookies may be decorated with colored sugar (as in red hearts for Valentine’s Day or green and red striped Christmas trees) or decorated with icing afterward.
