1 !/2 cup raisins
1 1/2 cup boiling water
2 tsp. baking soda
1 T. Crisco
1 egg
1/2 tsp. salt
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1 cup sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Boil raisins and water together until raisins are soft.
Add rest of ingredients together.
Mom used cans but you can use small loaf pans, greased.
Bake 350 for 1 hour
