1 1/4-cup oil,
2-cups sugar,
3- eggs,
3- cups flour,
1- tsp. soda,
1-tsp. salt,
2- tsp. vanilla,
3- cups peeled chopped apples,
1- cup chopped nuts.

Topping:
1- cup brown sugar,
1-stick butter,
1/4- cup pet milk,
1- tsp. vanilla.

Directions:
Blend oil and sugar together & mix well. Sift dry ingredients together and add to mixture. Beat eggs and add to batter. Add vanilla and fold in apples & nuts.Grease and flour large tube pan. bake at 250º for 1 1/2. Cool and invert on plate.
Put topping ingredients in saucepan until boiling, continue boiling for 1 minute. Remove from heat and sit pan in cold water and continue beating. When spreading consistency, frost cake.
