1 stick butter
6 medium apples, unpeeled and sliced (Golden Delicious, Jonathans, Fuji, Grannie Smith are good choices)
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 c. water

Directions:
Directions:
In a skillet, heat butter. Add apples, sugar, spices, and water. Simmer until apples are tender - just a few minutes. Excellent served with pork. Some people like to serve them warm as a dessert in a small bowl and topped with a little cream.
