3 cups flour
1/2 cup Crisco
4 tsp. baking powder
3/4 cup milk
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 tsp. salt (optional)
1 pkg. lemon pie filling

Directions:
Directions:
Cook and cool thoroughly 1 pkg. lemon pie filling. Blend dry ingredients with Crisco as for pie crust. Add milk and egg (1 tsp. vanilla optional). Knead until smooth. Roll dough large enough to fit cookie sheet (greased & floured). Spread lemon filling over center of dough. Bake. Drizzle glaxze of confectionary sugar and milk while warm.
Bake at 350º for 1/2 hour. Cut dough in half to make 2 strudels.
ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS: After rolling dough and filling, cut diagonally on each side of filling about 1 inch apart. Fold left and right over filling.
