Peach Upsidedown French Toast Recipe

1/2 c margarine
11/4 c brown sugar packed
1 tablespoon water
1 29 oz cab of sliced peaches
1 loaf French or Italian bread,unsliced
6 eggs beaten
11/2 cups of milk 1 Tablesooon vanilla extract

Directions:
Directions:
melt margarine in medium saucepan. Stir in brown sugar and water. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture has thickened. Pour into well-greased 9x13 in baking dish.

Drain peaches and reserve liquid. Place peach slices in rows on top of sugar mixture.

Cut bread into 1 in slices. Place on top of peaches, filling in all gaps with smaller pieces of bread.

Mix eggs, milk, and vanilla. Pour over bread, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate overnight. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Uncover French Toast and bake for 40 minutes. Remove from oven & place a baking sheet or jellyroll pan over the baking dish and invert carefully. Wait 3 min.Lift away baking dish and cut into squares.Serve with warm syrup.
