1 ½ c. creamy peanut butter
½ c. margarine – room temperature
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (16 oz.) package powdered sugar
1 (16 oz.) package of chocolate chips
2 tbsp. shortening

Directions:
Directions:
Mix peanut butter, margarine, vanilla and powdered sugar together with hands until it forms a smooth ball. Mixture will be very stiff (if mixture is crumbly, add a little evaporated milk. Shape into balls, put on wax paper lined cookie sheet and refrigerate.

In double boiler over simmering water, melt chocolate. Insert toothpicks into balls , dip into chocolate so ¾ of ball is covered. Place on waxed paper and refrigerate (or freeze).
