2 egg whites, 1/8 tsp. salt,1/8 tsp. cream of tartar, 1 tsp. vanilla, 3/4 c. sugar, 1 6oz. package semi-sweet chocolate chips, and 1/4 cup chopped walnuts(optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg whites, salt, cream of tartar, and vanilla until soft peaks form. Add sugar gradually, beating till peaks are stiff. Fold in chocolate chips and nuts.
Cover cookie sheet with parchment paper. Drop mixture on paper by rounded teaspoons. Bake in oven (300º) about 25 minutes.

This was a recipe given to me by my Aunt Claire Guerin. For some reason, I only make these cookies around Easter time. They are easy to make and just melt in your mouth. ENJOY!
