1 c. butter
1/3 c. whipping cream
2 c. Flour
granulated sugar
Creamy Butter Filling (below)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix butter, cream and flour thoroughly and chill for one hour. Heat oven to 375. Roll dough 1/8 thick on lightly floured board. Cut into 1 inch rounds. Transfer to waxed paper, heavily sprinkled with sugar, turning to coat both sides. Prick in four places with fork.

Bake 7 to 9 minutes or until slightly puffy. Put two cooled cookies together with filling. Makes about 5 dozen cookies.

Creamy Butter Filling Blend cup of softened butter, cup powdered sugar, 1 egg yolk and 1 teaspoon of vanilla. Tint pink or green if desired.
