"As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy, and to make plans."--Ernest Hemingway
1 cup butter (unsalted) 2 cups sugar 3 eggs 1 tsp vanilla 2 squares Baker's Unsweetened Chocolate 1 cup flour 1/2 tsp salt
Cream 1/2 cup of the butter with the sugar. Add eggs and beat until light. Add vanilla. Melt remaining butter with chocolate. Cool and beat into mixture. Add flour, and salt. Mix just until blended. Pour into a greased 13x9 pan. Bake for 30-40 min.
These brownies need to have my chocolate ganache recipe on top. If you do this...they taste like the brownies from local bakeries.
