1 c. cornflake crumbs,
2 tbl. sugar,
1 tsp. cinnamon,
2 tbl. melted butter,
2 c. cottage cheese,
2 eggs,
1/8 tsp. salt,
1/2 c. heavy cream,
2 tbl. flour,
3 tsp. grated lemon rind,
3 tbl. lemon juice,
1 3/4 c. applesauce,
3/4 c. chopped almonds,

Mix crumbs, 2 tbl. sugar, cinnamon and butter. Press firmly on bottom and sides of 9 inch pie pan. Press cheese through fine sieve. Add eggs, 1/2 c. sugar, salt, cream. flour, 1 tsp. lemon rind, and 1 tbl. juice. Beat until smooth; pour into pie pan. Bake in slow oven (325) about 1 hour. Cool. Mix remaining grated rind, juice applesauce, almonds. Spread over pie.
