2 c water 1 c sugar juice of 2 lemons butter (size of walnut) 3 egg yolks 3 heaping Tbsp cornstarch mixed with water(1/4 c)
Heat water, sugar lemon juice, and butter and let come to a boil. Add beaten egg yolks, and cornstarch mixture. Stir constantly until smooth. Pour into 9" pie shell and top with meringue (3 egg whites beaten until smooth), bake 350 º 15 to 20 minutes to brown.
